The National Media Museum covers seven floors of a city centre building in Bradford. It offers:
Permanent interactive galleries
These galleries cover photography, television and animation and feature interative exhibits for families to learn all about them.
The Magic Factory
The Magic Factory uses interactive exhibits to demonstrate the scientific principles of light and colour, and help develop your understanding of the science behind photography, film and television - all very hands-on and exciting.
The museum houses three cinemas including an IMAX showing the latest 3D films, and two other auditoria – Pictureville and Cubby Broccoli – which show films you won’t normally see in your local multiplex.
Real TV Studio
The BBC’s Bradford radio, TV and online studio – a real, working exhibit is located within the Museum.
There are also two special exhibition galleries – where a rolling programme of exhibitions are staged, sometimes drawn from the museum's collections, sometimes toured in from elsewhere.
The National Media Museum is part of the NMSI Museums Group (National Museum of Science and Industry) which also includes the Science Museum (based in London, and at Wroughton in Wiltshire) and the National Railway Museum (based in York, and at Shildon in County Durham).
Entry is FREE into the museum. For film prices please see website www.nationalmediamuseum.org.uk
Other facilities include a café, bar and shop.
