Derwent Water Regatta 7th & 8th July 2018

A weekend of family fun on and beside Derwent Water. In the spirit of the eccentric 18th-century owner of Derwent Island, Joseph 'King Pocky' Pocklington, if you like messing around on the water with the whole family, then this is the event for you. Lark about on the lake in a bathtub or try a range of taster sessions in kayaking, paddle boarding, rowing and more. There will be Sprint rowing races, dragon boat races, a parade of sail and a 'best dressed boat' competition. Try Squirrel Nutkin's raft racing plus all the fun of a traditional summer fair with rides, side stalls, refreshments and competitions. Oh, and '50 Things to do before you're 11¾ ' and Jemima Puddleduck's water play area for little ones too!
