More importantly the intoxicating mix of fast cars, live music and great festival food – devised by Chris to create his own personal concept of the perfect festival – have raised in excess of £3.5m for BBC Children in Need.
Some of the world's best and rarest supercars, rally cars and racing cars are just the headline attractions at the three day extravaganza which is being held from July 31. This fun-filled, family weekends promises a feast of fabulous cars ready to smoke some tyres in the name of charity.
In addition to the track action there will be air displays, driving schools for children, displays by car clubs and special celebrations to mark 60 years of the Citroen DS, 50 years of the Ford Transit and Alfa Romeo's 105th birthday.
Just a few of the other mouth-watering machines promised include F1 cars from Lotus, McLaren, Toleman, Arrows, Ferrari and Benetton, an Austin A60 pick-up dragster, the Subaru Impreza WRC rally car driven by the late Colin McRae, a La Ferrari supercar and others in a list that is as diverse as it is long.
