Leisure Facilities and Activities for the Kids
The indoor swimming pool heated to a constant 30°C, is the main attraction on the complex as both children and parents can enjoy a leisurely dip. Open daily throughout the year the children can easily be entertained here for hours. It has floor to ceiling windows along one length of it which lets natural light stream through and takes full advantage of the gorgeous surrounding views. Parents can also relax in the luxurious hot tub, sauna, steam room, top up your tan in the sun-shower or maybe book a pampering session in the treatment room. If that isn’t enough, then you can always burn off some calories and tone up in the well-equipped fitness gym.
Children will love the large, safe games field on the doorsteps of the cottages. Just perfect for them to run around in. It's all enclosed so great for little ones. The trampoline always proves a big hit with children of any age and for the kids who have boundless energy there is an adventure playground, an all-weather tennis court, football pitch, croquet lawn and putting green. There is such a lot of space for kids to let off steam.
And when the weather decides not to play ball, the games room comes into its own, providing a separate space away from the cottages in which to be entertained. The games room is decked out with table tennis, pool and table football, air hockey and toys for the little ones.
A short walk from the cottages takes you down to Branton Lakes a former sand and gravel quarry, now a thriving nature reserve and birdwatchers’ paradise. It’s a valuable resource for the local community and is a great attraction for guests to Breamish Valley Cottages. The site has two lakes, a bird hide and strategically placed footpaths, allowing wildlife secluded areas to live, breed and thrive. Today the restored site attracts a host of wildlife including some rare species. It’s a fabulous place to relax, have a wander, teach the kids about nature and take in the beautiful countryside.
