Budle Falls Cottage
The vaulted ceiling and exposed beams characterise the interior of Budle Falls with it's light and airy open-plan living accommodation. The master bedroom benefits from a feature king sized bed and the bunk bedded room will prove a hit with younger visitors. The cottage features a log burner so you can be toasty and warm whatever the season. The cottage is incredibly well equipped for families, and the outside patio area to the rear with tables and chairs overlooks its very own (completely fenced off so no cause for concern) waterfall which is illuminated at night. To the find there is another private garden with additional seating and toys and games and a BBQ.
Budle Haugh Cottage
Budle Haugh also expertly caters for families. Another beautifully styled internal space with the hand painted solid wood kitchen in Farrow and Ball French Gray with solid granite worktops, range cooker and retro fridge, the interior is both stylish and relaxing. There is a private and enclosed garden including the infamous "ice-cream" parlour, plus a sand pit, ride on tractor, out door games, out door sofa and chairs, log burner, patio set and BBQ. On top of that, guests can enjoy the acres of coastal smallholding estate and all the animal interactions. Haugh (pronounced ‘Hoff’) is an Old English and Scots term referring to a low-lying meadow in a river valley, and Budle Haugh lies adjacent to the Waren Burn river with views towards the meadow, hence the name of this cottage. Guests can listen the sound of bubbling water while enjoying the view – including the swans, herons and the abundant river based wildlife. The river is fenced off and the cottage has a river side stone walled garden so it is safe for children.
