About Cargurra Park Farm

Tucked away down a quiet lane, Cargurra Park Farm is a perfectly peaceful location for a family holiday. Enjoy wonderful walks straight from the farm to nearby villages, feed the chickens and collect eggs, or while away long lazy hours in the on-site games room and gardens. The two traditional farmers cottages have been beautifully converted into modern and excellently appointed 3 bedroom self-catering holiday homes. Dogs are welcome too, so everyone can enjoy the grounds, countryside and beautiful Cornish coast.

At the centre of the family farm, the 2 converted farmers cottages have everything you need for a wonderful family holiday. Both sleep 6 in 3 comfortable bedrooms, with en-suite to the master room and separate family bathroom. Modern kitchens are equipped with washer dryer, dishwasher and fridge freezer. The lounge diners have a TV with Blu ray player, CD stereo system, and a wood burner perfect for chilly nights in.  Outside you will have your own private garden complete with BBQ and seating area for lazy summer evenings.

Full central heating, linen, towels and WiFi internet are included.  Mobile phone reception can be patchy indoors but generally ok outside. Or make use of wifi for internet calling.

The Games Room will keep children of all ages amused with table tennis, pool table and darts along with board games, books, DVDs and children’s toys and puzzles. Outside there is a small play area for under 8’s, including play house and play equipment.

Take time to explore the 200 acre working farm.  You’ll be able to watch different farming events throughout the year, including silaging, combine harvesting and bailing, or just see the cattle in the fields. If you fancy getting more involved then pop along to collect eggs from the chickens, and perhaps help feed them.

Take the walk into Boscastle and see if you can spot the blowhole- the walk is especially beautiful in spring when the hills are covered in bluebells. Or try the Tintagle King Arthur walk  - a great walk with the kids. Thomas Hardy fans should make a trip to nearby St Juliot Church, which features in the book ‘A pair of Blue Eyes’.

No trip to Cornwall would be complete without a day by the coast. Daymer Bay is ideal for families with younger children and offers some stunning walks to those with older ones. Bude is well worth a visit for the beach, outdoor sea pool and boat hire. Enjoy the stunning beach and dramatic views of the ocean, and immerse yourself in Arthurian legend at Tintagel Castle.

Take your pick from some amazing family attractions in Cornwall. A favourite is the Eden Project which is less than an hour away, or for more active adventures head for the (largely traffic free)18 mile Camel Trail that’s great for bikes, which can be hired at various points along the way.

Food and Drink

Dig into the scrummy complementary Cornish cream tea on arrival. BBQs are available for use on site, and for meals out the local pub The Horseshoe is a gentle 30 minute stroll along the country path.

The ever popular Boscastle Farm shop is a gem of a find serving lunches and cake, and has a fab farm shop plus access to the South West Coastal Path. Major supermarkets will deliver to your cottage too.

Kids and Parents

Younger visitors are well catered for with a highchair, stair gates and plastic plates and cutlery in both cottages. Travel cots, toilet steps and toilet seats are all available to borrow.
