For the Kids

Send the kids off scouting for fallen twigs. Toasting marshmallows on your own camp fire tastes all the better if you have sourced the wood - trust me I know!  If the weather is unkind, make use of the activities in the Cosy Corner, or just relax with a book in front of the wood burning stove in the Cosy Lounge.  Bliss.

Stay local or Stray Away

In the woods there is the beginning of a willow tunnel, a bracken den for anyone to add to as they wish, and a recycled tyre swing for hours of fun. Explore the water meadow area with a shallow stream to paddle in and play pooh sticks on the bridge.  Or just laze in the hammocks to absorb the peace, quiet and scenery the site has to offer.

Enjoy pottering around the market towns of Hay on Wye or Kington, meander the surrounding countryside and network of footpaths and bridleways, stride a section of the Offa’s Dyke Path, or visit the spectacular Brecon beacons National Park.

For more adventure

Why not try a mountain bike ride, a family kayak trip along the River Wye, an exciting gorge challenge or pony trekking with spectacular mountain views.

Whatever you choose to do with your day, when you return to your dome, you can pour yourself a drink, light a roaring fire and enjoy a slower pace of life - an alternative break away from the trappings of a hectic life.
