·         Expert advice on how to explore the area independently

To keep things simple, the cost per person per night is £30.00. So a week’s holiday for a family of four will cost £840 (£756 with the pembs10 discount). We also don't charge for under three year olds (age when arriving on your holiday).

Orielton
Pembrokeshire is the perfect place for a family holiday with a wide range of attractions close by and some of the best beaches in Wales. On your holiday you will have the opportunity to see an exciting variety of wildlife including small mammals, badgers and several species of bat.

The Orielton Centre is located on the edge of the Pembrokeshire National Park, the only coastal National Park in Britain. Head up into the Preseli Mountains on foot or by bike, or discover the cliffs, crags and wildlife along the dramatic Pembrokeshire coastline.

Bedrooms are mainly small dormitory-style rooms, which may include bunk-beds - fun for young family members! We have a kitchen area with hot and cold drink making facilities, a drying room and a small shop selling confectionery, soft drinks, postcards and more.

There is a games room to keep young family members entertained if the weather isn’t on your side; you have a choice of a full-sized table tennis table, table football, Wii console and a variety of board games. We also have a cosy lounge with TV/DVD player and open fire. Outdoors, we have a 5-a-side football pitch and volleyball area, lawn with picnic tables and extensive grounds where the kids can let off steam and explore nature at first hand.

  • Bosherston Lily Ponds and Broadhaven Beach

The famous Bosherston Lakes were created 200 years ago to provide a backdrop to Stackpole Court. They have evolved into a wildlife habitat famous for otters, water birds and dragonflies. Take a walk with your family around Bosherston's beautiful lily ponds, with options to explore the dunes and pools of the Mere Pool Valley behind the beach. The walk is mostly along even gravel paths with two narrow causeways, with the stunning Broadhaven beach as your destination.

  • Freshwater West Beach

This huge expanse of sand has featured in two recent films - Ridley Scott's Robin Hood and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows where it was used as the back-drop for Dobby's Shell Cottage. This was built in the dunes down to the smallest detail, including the seaweed. Although the cottage was taken down after filming you can still walk in the footsteps of Harry, Hermione and Ron.

Newgale is one of Pembrokeshire's top three surfing locations and attracts surfers and kayakers but because of the length of the beach and the absence of underwater obstructions, it's perfect for wind surfing and kite surfing too.
