Woodview Campsite is on the North Cornwall/Devon border and just a short hop away from the National Trust beach at Sandymouth, Crooklets and the other beaches at Bude. Riverside camping near Bude benefits from woodland and wildlife walks, hammocks and free Wi-fi. Camp fires are permitted by the small stream, and BBQs in the main pitching area. Premium facilities for camping and touring include a newly constructed luxurious underfloor heated shower and toilet block complete with baby changing facilities and a disabled access shower and additional laundry block. There is also an undercover games barn which houses indoor football, basketball, table tennis and badminton.
Few modern campsites allow any sort of fire, however at Woodview Campsite you are positively encouraged seek out the fire-pits located alongside the river and enjoy the primal satisfaction it offers. Together with the picnic benches and the hammocks dotted around you can just pick your spot and enjoy this idyllic sheltered haven. Grab a stick, roam free, explore the woods and follow the trail by the river. You can also BBQ in the main area subject to guidance and safety tips provided on arrival. The Beach Hut provides a hassle free alternative to staying in the great outdoors. It is situated in a relaxing sunny corner overlooking the campsite.The wooden cabin is approx size 10ft x 8ft and contains a 3 ft single, and 2ft 6 " bunk beds. You just need to bring all your own bedding and equipment. It has a lovely outdoor patio area for alfresco dining and indoors has the luxury of electricity and a small radiator. A night in The Beach Hut is £36 a night all year round.
For families looking for a more spacious alternative then try one of the natural wood cabins. Located close to heated shower blocks/toilets these units benefit from in a sunny spot on the campsite. They both sleep a family of 4 with a Bunk bed and a Double bed (own bedding and equipment is required). Double glazed and fully insulated, with heater these self-catering cabins are the more luxurious option with kettle, TV and BBQ provided. Prices are £60 per night with a 2-3 night minimum stay.
The campsite facilities include a luxurious underfloor heated shower and toilet building complete with baby changing facilities and a disabled access shower and toilet. There also is a huge indoor games barn with bags of space for indoor football, basketball, table tennis and badminton. This facility really comes into its own when the weather decides to pour down and it’s also the perfect spot for the kids to make new chums whilst the dinner is being prepared.
