About Baincraig Lodge
Baincraig Lodge provides the ease of a log cabin, with the seclusion of a rural cottage. The Lodge is in its own garden, so children can run around safely. There are no other tourists on site - only the owners at the main house. We do not have any dogs. It's very well situated for lots of family friendly activities in North Fife and up to an hour away, including the Scottish Deer Centre, Cairnie Fruit Farm and Stirling Castle. We find that families with young children particularly enjoy having their own space. There are fields all round, often with sheep, lambs, alpacas, cattle and calves, and views across to the Lomond Hills and Pitmedden Forest.
Baincraig itself has a large sitting room, dining and kitchen area, with windows on three sides bringing in lots of light. There are French windows out to a wooden deck and the garden. There is a double bedroom, with king-size bed and en suite shower, and a twin bedroom. The spacious family bathroom has a bath with shower over, and there is a utility room with washing machine and tumble drier – there is a whirligig for drying clothes outside as well. A travel cot and high chair are also available. It’s very cosy, with a gas log fire in the sitting room and thermostatically controlled radiators in every room.
There are a number of supermarkets nine miles away, whilst Auchtermuchty itself has a Co-op, post office and pharmacy. The village is only 10 minutes’ walk down the lane.
