About Into The Woods
Into The Woods comprises two types of accomodation, The Treehouse and The Shepherds Hideaway. Both are quirky and cosy places to stay, just outside the country village of Whippinghan on the Isle of Wight, nestled quite simply inside the woods. If you want to get away from it all (and everyone), let the kids be at one with nature, whilst you go back to your childhood, Into The Woods truly is an idyllic place to be.
The Treehouse is spilt into two separate areas: the Living House and the Sleeping House, which are joined by smart decking. With two and a half bedrooms and a chic bathroom, it sleeps six. Inside the Living House is a log burning stove, a kitchen area, sofa and benches. The kitchen is eco-friendly with a composting system and drainage back into the woods. Not a dishwasher or washing machine in sight. The Sleeping House has two bedrooms, and a bathroom. The Master bedroom (with either a King size bed, or two singles) and the bunk room which has two bunks, plus a ladder up to a mezzanine level with secret double sleeping space for two little ones, which the kids adore. The bathroom has a lovely shower with views into the trees, a toilet and washbasin.
The treehouse is safe for children over 5yrs, as the bunks and ladder are fairly high.
The Shepherds Hideaway
The Shepherd's Hideaway gives you four Shepherd Huts in one accomodation. One is a master bedroom cabin with ensuite bathroom; the second has two sets of bunk beds with ensuite, plus there is a spacious double Kitchen/Living cabin with comfortable sofa areas, all set around your own secluded decking area. It sleeps 6 and a baby. Handbuilt, oak clad and insulated with sheeps wool, it is the perfect cosy place to stay.
There is a BBQ to cook dinner al fresco and you can now hire your own private hot-tub at The Shepherds Hideaway.
Everything is provided to enhance your stay. Smart bedlinen, fluffy towels, beach towels, soap and shower gel, as well as basic kitchen ingredients. There is plenty of storage under the beds, and many useful hooks and shelves – but don’t bring too much luggage – this is still a step up from glamping – though in comfort and style.
There are board games, books and puzzles (and wifi!) along with wooden swings and rings to play on.
Babysitting is also available in the day and evening.
