The gardens are packed with outdoor toys and things to amuse with a beautiful wendy house with play kitchen with sun loungers on the lawns around so that you can relax and read a book, whilst the children play grown-ups. A little walk behind the chicken pen takes you down to the woodland fairy grotto and the babbling brook. The little stream is shallow enough to paddle in and spend hours with a fishing net trying to catch the odd stickleback. There’s a little bridge which is great for pooh sticks and plenty of wooded areas for den building. There is so much for the children on-site that the hardest thing will be persuading the children go out for the day.

The Swimming Pool and Grounds
The best thing about La Lohuas is that you can do as much or as little as you like, as the grounds keep children amused for hours on end. You can relax safe in the knowledge that the fenced and secure play area, has been designed to ensure that children can play to their hearts content without fear of disturbing other holidaymakers. Here the children will delight in discovering the huge open-fronted barn with packed to the rafters with an Aladdins cave of children’s toys, sandpit and a table tennis table. Next to the barn is a large lawned area with a 16 foot trampoline, wendy house, swings, slide, see-saw and football and badminton nets.
All the cottages at La Lohuas share acces to a 10 X 5 meter heated swimming pool with a cover whose sides can be opened up completely for hot summer days. The cover is UV treated, so you and your children can swim without having to worry about sun creams, even when the cover is open because the roof stays in place. Opening times are 9am until 9pm for adults and 10am until 8pm for children which means that parents can have a relaxing, quiet swim at the beginning or end of the day. The pool is within baby-listener distance of the gites, so when the children are asleep it is possible to swim with the monitor at the poolside. For parents peace of mind, security is considered a priority. The pool area and outside terrace is fully fenced with a security gate with code access, which closes automatically. Outside pool opening times, the cover is closed and locked.
"Chicken feeding" is a 10am every morning, where everyone who wishes to partake meets in front of the chicken pen (all food scraps are gratefully received) and every little person has a bowl with corn in so that they can feed the chickens, ducks and goose - either from their bowl or by sprinkling on the floor, or if you feel like a real farm, from your hand. Little ones then collect the eggs and look at where the chickens sleep. The guinea pigs need to be let out into their run on the grass, so you are encouraged to wake them up and everyone has a little stroke before they are carjoled into their pen for the day with a little bit of carrot or cucumber. There is also a retired horse who like an apple from time to time.
