About Natural Retreats, Trewhiddle
Exploring the nearby fields was fabulous fun for the girls, as were the spontaneous football games and bike rides with their new found friends - it's a safe and lovely place.
Trewhiddle, Cornwall has long been a favourite British location for family holidays. With its climate, stunning coastal walks and over 300 beaches, family breaks here are always memorable given that there is so much to see and do.
Providing some of the finest holiday residences in the region, Natural Retreats Trewhiddle, Cornwall takes self-catering holidays in Cornwall to a new level. With your comfort and convenience of paramount importance, the two, three and four bedroom residences are furnished and equipped to high standards of both quality and design.

A stunning peaceful location tucked away in a lush green setting, this is a different aspect to Cornwall; a world apart from the more traditional seaside holiday homes. Trewhiddle provides luxury and space, with each property featuring modern interiors that are stylish and neutral, high ceilings, light and space that are enhanced by the open plan living area downstairs that opens out onto a spacious decking area and garden. The master bedroom has a decked balcony area and each bedroom offers a luxurious bathroom with wet room feel to the design of the large power showers.
The contemporary kitchen is well equipped with every gadget you would need to create a culinary masterpiece and thankfully there is a dishwasher too. There are no options to dine on site and going out for dinner would involve a car journey so certainly some nights in would be on the agenda, but cooking in this lovely kitchen would not be a chore.
For families with young children, Trewhiddle will take you back to your own childhood when you could enjoy the freedom of just playing outside for hours on end. A cultivated green space with play facilities, BBQ and games area is perfect for enjoying time as a family outdoors in a really easy relaxed way. The area around each house is safe. The houses are enough for children to whizz around on bikes and scooters too, all easy fun. For rainy days or evenings in the reception has a great stock of your favourite board games and a variety of DVD's.
Trewhiddle properties are at the premium end of holiday rentals and you won't be disappointed by the interiors great for larger families, children of all ages or mixed generation holidays. The helpful team on site can provide essential baby kit and lots of information on days out and things to see and do. This is a quiet escape but a wonderful one for families who appreciate stopping the clock when on holiday and adapting to a slower pace.
On arrival you will find a rather fabulous welcome hamper waiting for you, I won't tell you what is in it because that would spoil the surprise, but it does hit the right spot after a long journey.
Located just outside St Austell this is a good location from which to discover both Cornish Coasts and a variety of beaches, the Eden project, perfect for rainy days, and many of the nearby National Trust properties. Planning days out will never be a problem.
Jo's Tip: The Gardens of Heligan were magical, we took a picnic and left for the day! The girls loved exploring the trails - Aggie aged 4 managed fine. The Farm Shop next door is a must - stock on anything and everything - quality was fabulous and you get a discount voucher in your welcome pack so don't forget it!
Otherwise you can explore the many sea life, wildlife and adventure parks, take a boat trip, travel on a steam railway, investigate a mine, visit a stately home or dine at a celebrity owned restaurant. Or visit any one of the numerous beaches - there really is something for everyone. The concierge service is fabulous and staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable - speak to them!
