Discover the stunning Roseland peninsula in style and comfort with these award winning family run cottages. Your hosts Tim and Valerie are more qualified than most to understand the needs of providing the basis for a good family holiday, as they have four children of their own. "Freedom, fun and safety within a peaceful environment makes for happy kids and relaxed parents" - Tim. The cottages are very child friendly and everything from cots to three wheeler pushchairs can be supplied.
The cottages are stylish, homely and unique with large open plan living areas and exposed wooden beamed rafters featured throughout. Decorated to a high standard, with comfy sofas, generous beds and powerful showers these cottages create a welcoming environment where parents can relax and unwind. Baby monitors, food blenders and child crockery are there to make your holiday stay plain sailing. All cottages have enclosed child friendly gardens that are safely fenced with a lawn and patio. Take advantage while the little ones are playing happily on the ride-on toys or mini trampolines to fire up the barbeque for al-fresco dining. Free Wi-Fi access in all cottages, oil-fired central heating throughout and the barns are all double-glazed.
Delicious Aga-cooked meals from local and home-grown produce by courtesy of Valerie's culinary talents are just another thoughtful service provided so that parents can enjoy a well deserved break. A Giant Trampoline can be found adjacent to the tennis courts - both with fantastic views.
Why do Kids Love Pollaughan?
Parents know that planning a holiday with small children can feel like planning to cross the Alps by elephant. So the good folks at Pollaughan try and cut down your hassle-factor: proper wooden cots, highchairs and sand-friendly three-wheel pushchairs, backpacks for walks and, for your safely-fenced, family-sized garden, ride-on toys and a mini-trampoline.
Pollaughan will give you the luxury of a really child friendly holiday that means not only a proper baby and toddler friendly holiday cottage and where better than within a mile of the Roseland Peninsula’s best sandy beaches and within striking distance of two beautiful seaside villages of Portscatho and St.Mawes.
Children of all ages will enjoy the pull of the resident animals with every day animal-feeding and egg-collecting to join in. The two rescue donkeys love attention and are very placid and friendly. There are also the resident sheep, ducks, buzzards and of course plenty of wildlife to discover in the 22 acres of farmland. There is even a seasonal pick your own veggie patch to help yourself.
Elsewhere on the farm there’s a Giant Trampoline, an All-Weather Tennis Court. Older children can camp in the fields, fly kites, or hook up with our friendly local sailing school for sailing, kayaking or windsurfing lessons: the beach is 20 minutes across the fields, five minutes by car.
