About Woodview Campsite

Woodview Campsite is on the North Cornwall/Devon border and just a short hop away from the National Trust beach at Sandymouth, Crooklets and the other beaches at Bude. Riverside camping near Bude benefits from woodland and wildlife walks, hammocks and free Wi-fi. Camp fires are permitted by the small stream, and BBQs in the main pitching area. Premium facilities for camping and touring include a newly constructed luxurious underfloor heated shower and toilet block complete with baby changing facilities and a disabled access shower and additional laundry block. There is also an undercover games barn which houses indoor football, basketball, table tennis and badminton.

Few modern campsites allow any sort of fire, however at Woodview Campsite you are positively encouraged seek out the fire-pits located alongside the river and enjoy the primal satisfaction it offers. Together with the picnic benches and the hammocks dotted around you can just pick your spot and enjoy this idyllic sheltered haven. Grab a stick, roam free, explore the woods and follow the trail by the river. You can also BBQ in the main area subject to guidance and safety tips provided on arrival. Food always seems to taste better when it has been cooked outside.

Camping Pitches

The site offers a level camping ground complete with mains water, electric hook-ups (these must be pre-booked) and car parking by your tent. There is nothing quite like waking up in your tent, unzipping the door and breathing in the fresh air after a night under canvas. However camping is not for everyone and luckily there are a few different options at Woodview Campsite.

The Beach Hut provides a hassle free alternative to staying in the great outdoors. It is situated in a relaxing sunny corner overlooking the campsite. The wooden cabin is approx size 10ft x 8ft and contains a 3 ft single, and 2ft 6 " bunk beds. You just need to bring all your own bedding and equipment. It has a lovely outdoor patio area for alfresco dining and indoors has the luxury of electricity and a small radiator. A night in The Beach Hut is £36 a night all year round.

For families looking for a more spacious alternative then try one of the natural wood cabins. Located close to heated shower blocks/toilets these units benefit from in a sunny spot on the campsite. They both sleep a family of 4 with a Bunk bed and a Double bed (own bedding and equipment is required). Double glazed and fully insulated, with heater these self-catering cabins are the more luxurious option with kettle, TV and BBQ provided. Prices are £60 per night with a 2-3 night minimum stay.

The campsite facilities include a luxurious underfloor heated shower and toilet building complete with baby changing facilities and a disabled access shower and toilet. There also is a huge indoor games barn with bags of space for indoor football, basketball, table tennis and badminton. This facility really comes into its own when the weather decides to pour down and it’s also the perfect spot for the kids to make new chums whilst the dinner is being prepared.

The site also has washing and drying facilities and chemical toilet disposal.

Devon and Cornwall has got plenty to offer for families of all ages and Woodview Campsite is situated right on the border between them both of Devon, making it an idyllic base to explore. North Cornwall’s beaches are famous for their beauty and those in the Bude area are no exception. Vast expanses of clean, golden, sandy beaches, often backed by rugged cliffs, create the perfect backdrop to days spent hovering around rockpools or building sandcastles on the beach. There is a large selection of beaches close by for you to choose from: Summerleaze, Crooklets, Widemouth and Sandymouth are the main beaches and are all lifeguard-patrolled in peak season with cafés, toilets and plenty of parking.
