The beautifully renovated almond farm comprises three holiday cottages. The hillside properties all have their own private, front garden and stunning views. Casa Almendra sleeps four guests, plus two babies in cots, in two spacious ensuite bedrooms.

Casa Oliva and Casa Uva both sleep up to 6 guests, with space for 3 cots, one in each three ensuite double bedrooms. All three cottages have an indoor playroom, simple but lovely kitchen-diner, bright and living room. Oliva and Uva enjoy a little extra outdoor space with a large courtyard at the back of both. A brilliant place to sit, relax, socialise in the afternoon sun.

Eat

The self catering cottages each have well equipped kitchens and dining rooms with space to accommodate all guests. There’s a gas barbecue in the garden of each property – be sure to try some of the local seafood, sizzled to perfection and eaten al fresco on your sundrenched terrace. Or take a night off cooking and try a homemade freezer meals are available to buy on-site.

Communal eating options include a Welcome Barbeque, Mummy Monday and pizza served on the kids cinema night. Restaurants, shops and a local market can be found in the nearest village, only 7 minutes away. Beyond that you’ll find a whole host of very delicious spanish cuisine in Alicante and neighbouring towns.

Activities

From mountains and sleepy villages to beach resorts and water parks, there's something for everyone near Casas Almorós. And there’s no shortage of things to do on-site either! Relax by the side of the crystal clear, saltwater pool and keep a lazy eye on the kids playing in the huge playground right next door. If they get bored of the playground and the trampoline and the sandpit there is always the indoor playroom or softplay to try next.

Grown up guests are kept entertained too. Brush up on your pool or darts skills in the recreation room or take on the other guests at petanque or shuffleboard. Fancy working off some holiday kilos then you are welcome to use the owners gym too. There is never a dull moment in this beautiful slice of heaven.

Accessibility

Casas Almorós is a renovated almond farm on the side of the mountain. Two of the cottages have bedrooms downstairs; unfortunately interior steps limit accessibility for some wheelchair users. The owners have minimised changes in floor levels throughout the communal spaces so guests with limited mobility can happily and comfortably enjoy the site.

Where is it and how do you get there?

By Road

Casas Almorós is easily accessible by car and just a 45 minute drive from Alicante airport, following the A31 towards Madrid.

By Air

Nearest airport is Alicante – only a 45 minute drive away. Alternatively, Murcia is only an hour away. Some guests have flown into Valencia airport, which is a 2 hour drive away but could give you more flight options.

We (the Marshall family!) moved to Spain fifteen years ago; with our then 2 year old in tow, and another baby soon to follow, we escaped the rat race and pursued our dream of a simpler life. On our hunt for the perfect Spanish home we noticed a gap in the market for safe and secure baby/toddler friendly holiday properties. We found Casas Almorós and started the renovation in 2008, a few years and lots of hard work later, we opened our doors to our first guests! In the last four years, we’ve welcomed over 150 families, many of whom feel more like friends than guests. That's what we aim for every time. A memorable, safe and relaxing holiday for all the family. We love what we do and we hope our guests do too.

Owner recommendations

Playa Lisa in Santa Pola is our go to beach. Lots of space and shallow warm water make it perfect for little ones. There’s a great selection of restaurants close to the beach too.
If you love zoos, try Rio Safari. The lovely little train that takes you on a “safari” where you can see a whole batch of friendly animals – no lions, tigers or bears in sight for this bit!
The chocolate factory is a must! They offer free tours in English and chocolate samples to taste. Combine this with lunch in the beautiful Villajoyosa with its beautiful multi-coloured fishermens cottages.
There’s not one but three great parks in the local village so you don’t need to go far for a change of scenery. Combine this with a spot of lunch in one of the local tapas bars for a great day out.
If you like water parks then Aquopolis is a must do. Around an hour from Casas Almorós, it is great for families of all ages.
