Coppet Hill offers a plethora of activities to suit every camper’s tastes. From traversing nature trails to bonding over campfire tales, you can immerse yourself in the tranquility of the outdoors. The expansive grounds invite outdoor games and recreational fun, while opportunities for wildlife spotting are made even more exciting with the camera traps you can hire from the campsite to capture footage of local wildlife - great fun for all the family and ideal for any wildlife or photography enthusiasts. Animal encounters are plentiful at Coppet Hill; watch grazing deer, hear the hoot of tawny owls, spot kestrels flying above, or catch a glimpse of the family of foxes. There are some wildlife-focused activities for the kids during the summer holidays too including a Moth Club where you can get up close to many different species of moths, and an after-hours Owl Prowl where you might be able to spot nesting owls! There’s even a barn owl nestcam at Purcombe Barn. Coppet Hill also runs weekly tractor and trailer tours around the farm and there’s a five-hectare sunflower maze where sunflower saunters are organised every year. For more wildlife adventure, Dorset Falconry Park has flying displays, Axe Valley Wildlife Park is home to a variety of zoo animals, and Monkey World has over 250 rescued monkeys and apes - all within an hour’s drive.

Walk up the ridge of Coppet Hill to take in panoramic countryside views and look out to the coast and Lyme Bay. Lambert’s Castle, Pilsdon Pen, and Lewesdon Hill are also great high points that overlook Coppet Hill farm. For something a little more fun for the kids, there’s plenty of woodland on the farm to scramble in and many wildlife ponds where they can spot frogs and dragonflies. The secret holloways are also a highlight. These ancient sunken pathways are a unique feature of this part of West Dorset and will provide hours of entertainment for the kids.
Nearby attractions promise exciting day trips. There are several local beaches including Charmouth and Lyme Regis and don’t forget the iconic Jurassic Coast! Head to West Bay for some fun in the sea paddle boarding and kayaking or Lyme Regis’ Broad Ledge for a spot of rock pooling.
