What we think

"Our family, or at least our kids, are big fans of animals any shape or size so they were delighted at the prospect of being so close to lots of farm animals when we arrived. We had a superb short break here and the kids thought it was wonderful."

About the owners

Andy and Sylvie

Having owned and developed the award winning Croft Farm & Celtic Cottages for over 30 years, and as parents of five children ourselves, we have learnt a lot along the way about what makes a great family holiday. Most families feel that when their children are happy they too can relax; we therefore enjoy providing people with eco-friendly, stress-free family holidays with fabulous indoor leisure facilities. Encouraging everyone to be involved with the daily animal feeding and experiencing a taste of rural life is also part of what we like to do.

Tips from the owners

Local things to do, places to eat and attractions not to be missed.

  • For those looking for the ultimate adrenaline rush, lots of local groups organise coasteering (cliff jumping).

  • Explore the area’s abundant history at nearby St Dogmaels Abbey and Cilgerran Castle, among others.

  • If you just can’t get enough of farm-based fun, be sure to check out Folly Farm, 24 miles away, complete with restored indoor fairground rides and loads of play areas – not to mention both familiar and more exotic animals.

  • There’s an abundance of beautiful beaches nearby; Poppit Sands (five miles away) and Newport Sands (eight miles) are both Blue Flag beaches, and there are many smaller bays locally.

  • Take a boat trip from Cardigan along the coast to spot the resident sea-life including seals, porpoises and bottle-nosed dolphins.
