A cluster of traditional brick cottages set in a peaceful location close to Filey on the North Yorkshire coast. All cottages are well equipped for a family holiday or short break. The rural setting combined with easy access to the coast means you can perfectly combine time in the scenic traditional British seaside town of Filey, with striding out along trails on the North Yorkshire Moors from your doorstep.

Whether it is to stay for a week or a weekend. Many of the cottages overlook the central gardens, which provide a relaxing area to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

These rural style cottages have been created to be as light and airy as possible, many with large glazed sections allowing light into the living area. With featured exposed beams and brickwork, open plan living areas and tasteful décor throughout, you are guaranteed a comfortable stay.

Capacity varies from a neat one or two bedroom single-storey cottage, ideal for grandparents who wish to join a holiday, to two or three bedroom two-storey holiday homes that take up to five guests. Cots are available. Four of the cottages are pet friendly. Several open directly onto the play area. Heating is provided by radiators in all rooms and bed linen (duvets) is included within the cost of your stay. Shared laundry facilities are available with washing machines, tumble dryer and ironing equipment. To complete your entertainment all cottages have a television and DVD player provided.

Many of the cottages overlook the central gardens, which provide a relaxing area to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

Eat

The fitted kitchens are complete with dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave and a fridge with freezer compartment.

For meals out there are plenty of pubs and restaurants to dine out at in nearby Filey. Or for easy suppers gran yourselves some fish and chips near the sea.

Activities

The spacious grounds give children the freedom to run and play in safety. The play area is a great place to hang out and make new friends. Older children will love the games room with pool table - it's also a great bolt-hole for all children to escape to whatever the weather.

For day trips you are spoilt for choice. Discover the North Yorkshire coastal towns of Filey Brigg and Filey Bay, Whitby and Scarborough all within easy reach. Train fans will love a day out on the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway. Filey is a traditional Victorian English seaside town with a friendly atmosphere. The five-mile stretch of award winning sandy beach is protected by the rocky grandeur of Filey Brigg. Surfing, fishing, yachting, golf and bird watching are just a few of the activities to be enjoyed. The Evron Centre is a hub of entertainment with music, song, dance and theatre on offer.

Accessibility

All cottages are accessed by smooth level pathways. Ramps can be provided should the cottage have a step at the entrance. As the cottages vary in accessibility it is worth contacting the owners to ensure your requirements are met.

Where is it and how do you get there?

By Road

Filey Holiday Cottages is situated on the A1039 that links the A64 York to Scarborough route and the A165 coastal road. There is no public transport to Filey so a car is essential.

By Air

Teeside International and Leeds Bradford airports are both less than 2 hours away.

By Rail

Filey and Hunmanby stations are both less than 10 minutes drive from the cottages.

The cottages first opened in 2007 following two years of extensive renovation. Former brick farm buildings, they have been sympathetically renovated to a high standard and are equipped with everything you could need for a family stay. We love welcoming guests here to explore the delights of the North Yorkshire Coast, or simply relax in the lovely space we have created.
