The Browning Brothers, Nat and Archie enjoyed many a carefree day growing up on the farm, climbing trees, building dens and scrambling down the riverbanks to leap across the water. It was their love of the great outdoors and this unique place that has inspired them to set up this glamping site onTey Brook Orchard so that youngsters have a chance to experience this carefree natural outdoor playground.

  • Colchester Zoo has over 260 rare species as well as native animals-and is just 15 minutes away.

  • There’s plenty of traditional seaside fun to be had at Clacton-on-sea, a 40 minute drive from the site.

  • Colne Valley Steam Railway is a must for rail enthusiasts - look out for special events.

  • RHS Hyde Hall has stunning gardens for all seasons, including the iconic dry garden, plus some fab walking around the reservoir.

  • Follow in the footsteps of Roman soldiers and Norman invaders at Colchester Castle.

  • Head out onto the water on paddleboards or kayaks with Mersea Island watersports.
