This humble yet spacious four-bed cottage with a one-bed separate annex can sleep up to nine guests and is perfect for multi-generational family holidays. The main cottage has two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, and one single bedroom, and the annex has one double bedroom perfect for the grandparents! There’s ample space in all of the bedrooms with plenty of storage and thoughtfully curated decor designed to maximise comfort and relaxation so you can tumble into bed at the end of a fun-packed day. The Master bedroom in the main cottage and Annex bedroom both have king-size beds for the ultimate night’s sleep and there is also a wooden cot available if you have any tiny ones with you. The twin bedroom is perfect for the kids, complete with a dollhouse and race car decor. For more fun and games, the kids will love the games den in the annex loft with a pool table, table football, TV and games consoles, and board games - there’s even some gym equipment and a punching bag for anyone who wants to get their fitness fix. The last single bedroom is bright and airy and overlooks the garden so you can wake up to wonderful views.
The communal living areas are even more generous than the bedrooms. The farmhouse-style kitchen is well-appointed with modern amenities so you can whip up a big family breakfast feast - there’s even a handy serving hatch leading through to the dining room for added convenience and a bit of fun for the kids. The dining room is flooded by light from the double doors opening out onto the garden and comfortably seats nine so you can dine in the comfort of The Crest. There’s plenty of crockery, storage, and even a small wine cabinet so you can pull out a glass or two after the kids have gone to bed. The dining room leads into one of the two lounge areas, the ‘snug’. This cosy room adjacent to the lounge has two sofas, a TV, and plenty of space for the kids to play some games on the Wii while the adults unwind in the main lounge which is just through the door so you can still keep an eye on your little ones. The spacious lounge has two large sofas and a chair, a big coffee table, a large TV, and a wood-burning fire, along with double doors accessing the garden and lovely leafy views through the windows. There’s also a downstairs toilet so the kids can run in and out from the garden and get back to their games!
The annex is a great space if you’re bringing the grandparents along or have some teens looking for some more independence. There’s a cosy lounge area with a sofa, rocking chair and a small TV, leading off of the kitchen kitted out with all the amenities the guests will need. The double bedroom has barn door access to the secluded annex garden so you can wake up and step out onto the decking with a coffee to enjoy the morning sun. There’s also a bathroom with a shower, and easy access just a few steps across the patio to the main house. Upstairs in the Annex you’ll find the Den. With the addition of an Xbox, you’ll certainly lose any teenagers there in the evenings!
The garden is a haven for all of the family to enjoy with plenty of access through the dining room, living room, and annex. The patio leading out of the house with a table and chairs is a lovely spot to enjoy a morning coffee or get lost in a book. For a day of summer fun, light up the barbecue and dine out on the large outdoor table as the kids enjoy the adjacent playhouse. There are plenty of nooks in the garden perfect for a game of hide and seek and even a swing and big lawn to play on - you’ll struggle to get the kids back inside! There are wonderful views across the well-manicured, verdant gardens throughout the house and annex so you can start your morning with some wonderful sights and even look out onto the rolling hills of Hampshire.
