Located between the New Forest and the glorious beaches of Solent, the peaceful, family-friendly Warborne Farm has beautifully converted Georgian outbuildings into contemporary and characterful holiday homes. Surrounded by nature-abundant countryside, there’s plenty for kids to enjoy. Spend mornings meeting and feeding farm animals, exploring miles of country footpaths or cosying up for film nights and family dinners. And all this fun is powered by renewable energy produced on-site.

About this place

Best bits

  • The beautiful barns are totally unique, with their former function making exciting features for kids, but maybe not as exciting as the cosy bunks and stable-style hay beds.
  • Situated in the middle of a farm, there’s ample opportunity to get involved with farm activities. Depending on the season, there are lambs to feed, fruit to harvest, eggs to collect and an abundance of veg to pick. And there’s always a pig who needs their tummy’s tickling!
  • Being just a short walk away from the open forest heathland and only a little further than that to Solent beach – natural playgrounds right on the doorstep.

Top tips

  • Check in with owners Geogre and Kate before your stay to get an update on what’s in season and what’s going on at the farm, so you can get the most out of your stay.
  • Don’t forget outdoor games to play in the gorgeous shared garden. Nothing beats a family game of rounders or badminton. And it’s a great way to make friends.
  • Pack your wellies so you can enjoy the best of the New Forest and surrounding countryside, mud, rain and all.

We’re proud to say that Warborne Farm has won all the major organic farming awards, and has been the subject of many TV programmes, including ‘Farm Life’. As well as producing delicious organic produce, we love welcoming families to the farm and hope they enjoy our beautiful barns, as much as we enjoyed renovating them.

Owner recommendations

  • On a rainy day, we recommend St Barbe Museum and Gallery for some fun and culture. They often have child-focused activities going on.

  • Taking a walk along Hurst Spit is a great way to spot some seaside wildlife, and the scenery is pretty special too.

  • Braxton Gardens is a great day trip, with acres of beautiful landscaped gardens to explore and a cafe with delicious treats. We like the cream tea.

  • For guaranteed fun, book in for a water adventure at the Lymington Sea Water Baths – think giant inflatable obstacles and a floating assault course with wetsuits available to hire.
