Tucked away on the Cornish coast between Fowey and Looe, Blanches offers the best of coastal and country living. Set against the stunning backdrop of the picture postcard coastline and embraced by acres of unspoiled countryside, Blanches’ private location means you can enjoy uninterrupted views across the stunning surroundings.
Blanches House is the largest of the two characterful coastal properties sleeping up to nine guests between five bedrooms. Brimming with warmth and homeliness, the house has space in abundance so you can stretch out and decompress in style. On the ground floor, a large galleried entrance hall leads through to a farmhouse kitchen-diner with traditional features - the ideal setting to linger over a family breakfast feast as you soak up the house’s rustic charm. Wander through to the spacious living room to find double doors framing south-facing views over the garden across to the sea. Complete with two three-seater sofas, three armchairs, a large wood burner, a TV, and a Boston piano, the living room is the perfect place to gather for some family downtime. When it’s time to retire to bed, Blanches House has four bedrooms upstairs, a king, double, and two twins, and a single bedroom downstairs with an additional pull-out bed. Each room is either sea-facing or overlooks the expansive, well-manicured private gardens so you can wake up to wonderful views. There is a bathroom/utility room and separate toilet downstairs for those sleeping in the single bedroom and a large shower room upstairs with two wash basins, a toilet, and a shower overlooking the verdant valley. Blanches House shares a three-acre garden with two streams, a thriving orchard, a vegetable patch, a play area, and multiple lawns with Blanches Cottage but has its own private south-facing patio with outdoor dining space for up to ten people and isn’t overlooked by the cottage.
Blanches’ other property, Blanches Cottage, is a classic Cornish coastal cove where modern amenities seamlessly blend with the charm of Cornwall’s coastal heritage. Sleeping up to five people, the bright and airy interior is simply seaside holiday bliss, and just like Blanches House it offers pockets of wonderful views across the gardens and coast. The kitchen is flooded by light from the two skylights and overlooks the beautiful gardens. You’ll also find a welcoming, beamed living-dining room with an open fire, sofas, armchairs, TV, piano, and double doors leading out onto the private patio with outdoor furniture so you can take in the rich surroundings. There are three bedrooms in the cottage, one single room downstairs with views across the garden, and a king and twin room upstairs alongside a spacious family bathroom. For large groups, up to 14 guests can be accommodated in both properties.
