Four beautifully appointed treehouses stand on the site of West Lexham Manor, perfectly suited for a family adventure holiday. There’s something magical about treehouses – whatever your age. These will appeal to parents who want their kids re-connect with nature, forgetting about electronic games gadgets and having the thrill of an adventure without the need to sacrifice your creature comforts. Sunrise, is the largest of the treehouses and has two bedrooms and a mezzanine area which can happily accommodate a family of 6. It has a living dining area with a wood burning stove and a large terrace looking out through the forest. They each have their own character and rustic chic style, including stained glass windows, colourful bedspreads and multi-coloured bunting. The aura turns magical at dusk when the solar powered fairy lights kick in and the woodburning stoves keep you cosy. A cool box is provided in each treehouse and some come equipped with hot water bottles and extra blankets. Hampers and ready cooked meals are available. You can book a treehouse from beginning of February through to November and the prices start at £198 for 2 nights.

The Bell tents are made from canvas that is breathable so does not get too hot and stuffy, but keeps you nice and dry. The centre pole is over 7ft tall so you can stand up and walk around them. The grounds at West Lexham
There’s a small lake with a couple of rowing boats and life jackets. Best for families with older children who will love novelty of the accommodation, the freedom to roam the grounds and the outdoor activities such as toasting marshmallows around the campfire. The adjacent lake means that very young children will need close supervision as with all stretches of water. There is also a tennis court within the grounds with equipment available to borrow. Well-behaved dogs are permitted for an additional fee, by arrangement
