In each lodge you’ll find light-filled, open-plan living spaces with beautifully kitted-out kitchens, generous dining spaces for comfortable conversation-filled suppers, and super squishy sofas with glass-fronted log burners – perfect for cosy evenings enjoying our thoughtfully curated book and games collections. Don't miss the kids' nook under the hand-made spiral staircase, full of wooden toys and books. Upstairs are two serene bedrooms with sumptuous super king (or twin) beds with luxurious linen and those all-important blackout blinds help ensure a peaceful slumber. Each room is bookended by the family bathroom, which enjoys a ginormous stand-alone bath, a wall-to-ceiling mirror to maximise the sense of space and light and a seperate, luxurious waterfall shower. The luxe-lodges are all built in beautiful Douglas Fir, sourced locally from sustainably managed woodlands. They’re insulated to the rafters to ensure a cosy stay, and any extra power or heating needed comes from sustainable sources on-site (you’ll spot air source heat pumps and solar panels on the two-storey lodges).
Cynefin Retreats are meticulous when it comes to the small details too; think quality Bluetooth speakers, colourful cookbooks and beautiful locally-made lavender hand soap. True light-obsessives can use the range of dimmable lighting available throughout to suit their mood. Although, by day there’s no escaping the glorious light that spills through the huge sliding doors found downstairs in each lodge. Whilst the expansive windows and doors invite nature in, guests are equally encouraged to head outdoors – without compromising on the all-important comfort. Designer Scandinavian furniture decorates the private terraces, alongside luxury hot-tubs and fire-pit. Whether indoor or out, you can truly live in the landscape, absorbing the stunning views across the meadows to the hills beyond.
