Where is it and how do you get there?

By road

Libbear Barton is 30 minutes North West of the A30 Okehampton junction.

By air

The nearest airports are Exeter (1hr) and Newquay (1hr 20 mins).

By rail

Most trains go as far as Exeter but occasional services run to Okehampton.

We moved down from London with our children to run Libbear Barton in April 2018. We have been coming on family holidays here for many years and love sharing this beautiful part of the world with our many guests. We are happy to help in any way.

  • Visit the beautiful blue flag beach at Widemouth Bay.

  • Go for a walk on Dartmoor and see the wild ponies and sheep.

  • Tamar Otter's Center - feed deer, see walabies and the famous Otter's.

  • The Big Sheep has daily animal shows, rollercoasters, tractor rides and soft play.

  • The Milky Way is a fun, action filled day out for the family with roller coasters, soft play and birds of prey shows.

  • Enjoy the stunning manicured gardens of RHS Rosemoor.
