This safe and tranquil organic farm is ideally situated at the heart of Ceredigion, only eight miles from the unspoilt coastline of Cardigan Bay and excellent sandy beaches.

Top tips

Bed linens and towels are provided in the eco cabins, so no need to lug all your outward bounds equipment and sleeping bags with you.
If you’re interested in gaining experience at farming, join farmer Jack on a one-day sheep keeping course. Just book in advance.
Bring your wellies and walking boots for long walks in the surrounding Welsh countryside or exploring the farm's 64 acres.

There are two gorgeous eco cabins – Saffir and Aerona. These unique octagonal shaped eco cabins, nestled in one of Treberfedd's meadows are designed specifically for the site. Guests feel connected to beautiful natural surroundings through panoramic views across the open valley. Spacious open plan living, cosy welsh rugs, under floor heating and an unlimited supply of logs for the wood burner make them a snug and cosy option whatever the season. Up to two adults and two children can be accommodated in a double bed and fold out bunk beds.

There are also two camping pitches available with equally as impressive, far reaching views. Ideal for families and small groups, these pitches share a toilet and shower block with a shower room, composting toilet, washing up facilities and a baby changing area included. The cabins each have their own private composting toilet and shower.

Eat

Both glamping cabins feature kitchens with stone worktops, ovens, hobs, fridges and all the equipent you could need. There are large dining tables too, perfect for family meals. Camping pitches are welcome to use the communal pizza oven – pizza parties are always a hit! But other cooking equipment will have to be brought by guests themselves.

Pick up some supplies from the on site farm shop which sells fantastic home produced organic meat, eggs and local dairy products, gifts, alcohol and essentials. For high quality artisan food and drink then Ceredigion is the perfect place for any ‘foodie’ holiday in Wales. If you fancy a meal out, the local pub, the Vale of Aeron in Ystrad Aeron will give you a friendly welcome and they serve good value and tasty meals.

Activities

Take part in guided farm walks to collect the eggs and feed the sheep, enjoy two miles of nature trails and a splashy muddy welly walk. Kids will also love the children's playground with adventure play boat and giant slide. Plus, a fantastic games barn provides entertainment whatever the weather.

There is tonnes to do in the local area too. Besides the fantastic beaches, there is horse riding, cycle routes and hiking trails to explore. If you’ve got young adventurers in your family, an activity centre at nearby Llain offers climbing, abseiling, rope courses, zip line and archery.

Accessibility

Given the location of the site, access is unfortunately limited. There are gravel steps leading up the camping area and steps leading up to the toilet block. Parking next to tents is not permitted, but there is car parking available next to the Aeron Centre, which is next to the camping pitches.

Where is it and how do you get there?

By Road

3 hours from Birmingham via the A44. 2 hours from Cardiff via the M4 or 3 and a half hours from Liverpool via the A483. Generally, it’s advised to head to Aberystwyth and follow the coastal road from there.

By Rail

The closest train stations are Aberystwyth or Carmarthen. From there you will have to grab a taxi (around 50 minutes) or take the bus to Aberaeron.

We found and fell in love with the farm in 1999. Since then our family has worked together to carefully restore the original thatched farmhouse and convert the traditional stone barns into our lovely holiday cottages. We aim to provide guests with a peaceful and memorable time.

Owner recommendations

Visit one of several small small harbour towns on the beautiful and unspoilt Cardigan Bay coastline.
For train enthusiasts young and old there are some fantastic heritage railways to visit. One of our favourites is the Vale of Rheidol railway from Abersytwyth to Devils Bridge.
For keen ramblers, the Cambrian Mountains are just under an hour’s drive from Treberfedd and provide some awesome views over West Wales.
On wet and windy days, you can catch a film or show at Theatr Mwldan in Cardigan.
Book in a day of horse riding. Our nearest riding school at Tynfron is perfectly placed to explore the local area on horseback.
