This Grade II listed building started life as a two storey home in 1774 and has since had two large side wings added to accommodate its guests. The family rooms are located in the West wing which sleep up to five.

One of the family rooms can accommodate six with a double bed, two singles and a double sofa bed. For a sea view there are the spacious West Wing rooms, two of which have four poster beds.

Eat

Dining at Tregenna is as relaxed as you like. There’s a bar, lounge and Brasserie offering an impressive menu and the best of fresh fish, locally sourced meat and veg. The traditional Cornish cream tea is also a highlight.

The atmosphere is friendly and informal whether you’re having a delicious coffee or a fine wine with seabass. The spectacular views of the coastline make dining here feel very special indeed.

Activities

As well as the local surf school and beautiful beach on your doorstep, there’s extensive leisure facilities to keep adults busy at the resort too including gym, indoor and outdoor heated pools, sauna, hot tub, 18 hole Golf Course, tennis courts and more.

For kids under 8, there’s a wonderful outdoor playground with swings, slides and climbing. Go on an adventure to find the dragon lairs, fairy doors, hidden gardens and secret waterfalls of the enchanted woodland.

Where is it and how do you get there?

By Road

Tregenna Castle is reached off Treloyhan Avenue A3074 via the A30. Enter through the main gate then down a majestic driveway and along a stunning approach, from which the Hotel almost explodes into sight.

By Air

The hotel is 22 miles away from Newquay airport, taking just over an hour to drive or taxi.

By Rail

St Ives train station is located above Porthminster beach. You can walk up from the station to the resort in about 20 minutes. A taxi will cost about £6 and takes around five minutes.

Tregenna Castle started off humbly as a private home for a man with a love of the seaside. Over 240 years later and it’s a 72 acre estate with 84 bedrooms. The castle has come a long way but the building’s charm and views will never change.
