Great Barn Farm provides super chic accommodation in beautiful West Norfolk. The four barns sleep from 2 (+ child) to 10 in style and luxury. Rustic and as unchanged as possible from the outside, then step inside and you’re in for a treat. Each barn has its own private outdoor space, plus access to the swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room in The Sheep Dip. All this, and perfectly positioned for days out in the countryside, the Norfolk Broads and exploring the coast.

Where is it and how do you get there?

By rail

From London Kings Cross to King's Lynn via Cambridge is about 1hr 50 minutes. Taxi from the train station takes about 20 minutes.

By road

Great Barn Farm is just outside the village of Gayton Thorpe, which is approximately 20 minutes drive (8 miles) from Kings Lynn.

By air

Norwich International Airport is 33 miles away (about 50 minutes drive).

About the owners

Listed since March 2017

We remain a working farming family and the farm here is about 1,350 acres. We are farming tenants and part of The Westacre Estate. Across our farm and The Estate there is huge opportunity for walking, riding and cycling.

Tips from the owners

Local things to do, places to eat and attractions not to be missed.

  • Titchwell Marsh is a great place for all the family to visit and do some nature spotting.

  • Enjoy a flutter at the famous Fakenham racecourse - just 20 minutes away.

  • If you’re visiting with tweens and teens head to Thetford Forest: Go Ape in the trees or hire bikes at High Lodge.

  • Little ones will adore exploring the magical trails, treehouses, slippery slopes and boat trips at Bewilderwood.

  • Church Farm at Stow Bardolph has rare breeds for you to meet, tractor rides, indoor and outdoor play areas and a great cafe.

  • Just a few minutes away is Sandringham, with beautiful woodland, a play area and nature trails where you can play all day outdoors.

  • For days on the coast try Brancaster for long sandy beaches or Wells for some fab independent shops by the harbour, and beautiful beach huts.
