About the owners

Paula Brewer

Tips from the owners

Local things to do, places to eat and attractions not to be missed.

  • Visit the beautiful beaches at Meschers, Royan or La Grande Côte. Quiet coves or wide-open sandy stretches great for body boarding, just 30-45 minutes away.

  • Get right up close to the giraffes at La Palmyre Zoo and see hundreds of other animals in the heart of the pine forests.

  • Explore the beautiful historic town of La Rochelle. Discover the towers of the old port, enjoy the many shops, cafes and restaurants and don’t miss one of the largest aquariums in the world.

  • Wander the cobbled streets lined with hollyhocks of one of France’s most beautiful villages at Talmont-sur-Gironde and enjoy a crepe or ice-cream overlooking the estuary.

  • Discover the beautiful islands of Ile d’Oleron or Ile d’Aix, with memorable beaches and miles of cycle paths.
