Welcome to Le Moulin de Chazotte! Owned by Laura and Rowan the ancient French watermill, located amongst the famous Cognac vineyards, has been beautifully restored to offer the perfect location for your dream French holiday. Located in blissful rural tranquility nestled amongst the Cognac vineyards you will really feel like you have escaped the world - yet you're only 10 minutes away from historic Cognac and a short drive to the nearest village.
You have a choice between four fabulous gites, each one with its own unique style and character. All are bright, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and all have all mod-cons needed for a comfortable stay with sitting room, dining areas, kitchen and a private terrace with barbecue and WiFi.
Children of all ages are welcome and Laura offer free baby and child equipment so that you can travel light and not take "everything but the kitchen sink" on holiday with you.
If you are looking for something larger, it is also possible to hire out the whole house exclusively, accommodating up to 20 people. The barn can be setup as a dining area so that everyone can dine together.
La Principale (sleeps 6)
The largest of the properties sleeps 6 across 3 bedrooms: 1 master with en-suite, 1 double and 1 twin. There is an additional master bathroom and downstairs wc. The roomy sitting room has plenty of space to relax and take in the views over millponds and vineyards with a traditional fireplace for the cooler months. The fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher and washing machine) includes a spacious dining area and wood burning stove. The private terrace has plenty of seating and shade to enjoy the views over the garden and grounds.
L’Abricotier (sleeps 6)
Formerly the old coach house, L’Abricotier is a charming and cosy conversion with a split-level ground floor with kitchen and lounge. Upstairs you’ll find 3 bedrooms: 1 master with shower and sink, 1 twin and 1 bunk room. There is a master bathroom and a downstairs wc. The fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher and washing machine) has a dining area and opens out onto the private terrace with views over the grounds and woodland.
Le Hibou (sleeps 4)
This characterful gite comfortably sleeps a family of 4 in 1 double (with roll top bath) and 1 twin room. There is a master bathroom and a downstairs wc. The downstairs is open plan with a fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher and washing machine), dining and seating areas. Roof beams, exposed stonework and a wonderful staircase all add to the charm of Le Hibou. The private terrace offers stunning views over the grounds and local vines.
Le Chai (sleeps 4)
This charming stone-built property is the smallest of the gites but no less beautiful. It’s perfect for a couple or those with small children. Kids will love the bunk area hidden away in the main bedroom, and the kitchen, dining and lounge area combines modern living with french charm. Le Chai is all on one level, with a walk in shower so is perfect for those with access requirements. Your private terrace provides wonderful views over the river and woodland beyond.
