Join Farmer Tony on his daily feed run and enjoy a real hands on farming experience helping to feed the animals. They need feeding everyday so there will be plenty of opportunities during your stay to be a real farmer. Muffin, Gypsy, Tiny and Pip the Shetland ponies love their carrot treats and being groomed and taken for a walk by the younger guests. The rescue chickens enjoy the freedom of the farm and may lay the occasional egg for you to collect for your breakfast. Stay around Easter time and you'll get an opportunity to bottle feed any orphan lambs.
Everyone can enjoy the indoor games room and get together to enjoy a game of table tennis or pool, whatever the weather. There's also an area for smaller children with Wendy house and soft toys - it is a perfect space for all ages. The open barn offers space for all weather play, with straw bales for parents to sit on, while children burn off their energy.
The hardstanding play area is just right for ball games and a football kick-about and ideal for youngsters on bikes, trikes and scooters. There are also ride on tractors for younger children. The grassy play area with the swings and slide always prove popular too and it's a good place to socialise with new holiday chums.
There is a stock of DVD’s or board games to borrow, or you can help yourself to a book from the library.
Guests are encouraged to take bikes and scooters with them for exploring further afield.
Only ten minutes away by car from Lower Campscott Farm, you can enjoy the family friendly, golden sandy surfing beaches of Woolacombe, Putsborough and Croyde or visit Ilfracombe with its famous Victorian Tunnel beaches. The Tarka trail offers easy cycling and is right on the doorstep so bring your bike! Take advantage of the lovely walks on your doorstep and follow the farm footpath to the friendly local pub, the Grampus or to the pretty beach at Lee Bay - ideal for rock pooling with a secret path to the smugglers' beach at low tide. Or a little further afield explore the wild beauty of Exmoor.
