Five of the cottages and lodges are single storey with level access or just a few steps – suitable for people with limited mobility. Most of the driveways and access routes around the farm complex are hard surfaced. Wheelchair users often stay in the Pinetree which is single storey and features doorways that are wide enough for a standard wheelchair or mobility scooter. The wet room is fitted with grab handles and equipped with a bathing stool and a freestanding adjustable WC frame surround.

About the owners

Kathy & Tony

We fell in love with Lower Campscott and its glorious sea views when we moved here nine years ago and have worked hard to create a lovely place for families to enjoy a real farm holiday.

Tips from the owners

Local things to do, places to eat and attractions not to be missed.

  • Enjoy days out on award-winning golden sandy beaches – perfect for sandcastles, surfing and rock-pooling all year round.

  • Walk to Borough Farm, home of Mist the Sheepdog, and enjoy a shepherding demonstration or farmyard show.

  • You can hire bikes for the day and cycle the level Tarka Trail around the Taw & Torridge estuaries.

  • Go horse-riding on the beach, book a surf lesson or take the family quad-biking.

  • Be a zookeeper for a day at Exmoor Zoo or meet a dinosaur at Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur park.

  • Explore the curious coastal charm of Ilfracombe with its chocolate museum and book a fishing trip from the harbour.
