Longeveau is located in a stunning rural area on the Charente/Dordogne border in South West France. It’s a perfect base for going on lovely walks and bike rides, and for sighteseeing. Within very close distance are lovely villages, historical sites including chateaux, and a river with its own beach. It’s a fabulous area for wine and food, with some great local restaurants and cafes. Nearby activities that may appeal to the kids include crazy golf, horseriding, a water park and a zoo. For something a bit different there are jet-skiing options locally, as well as canoeing and fishing.
The 32 properties range from cosy one-bedroom cottages to spacious modern houses that sleep eight. Many are beautifully converted farm buildings, retaining lots of original features. All have outside space, complete with garden furniture and BBQs.
A few of the properties have their own private, heated pool, while those at L’Hammeau and the Old Puygironde development benefit from shared pools.
Longeveau offers a range of self-catering accommodation in gorgeous old renovated stone cottages. The thirty-two self-catering cottages sleep parties of varying sizes - between two and eight people – although it’s worth noting Longeveau are flexible and additional beds can be provided, and twin/double beds altered where necessary.
Longeveau’s cottages are dotted around the site, with some a short stroll away, and two, and a 5-10 minute walk up the hill. All cottages are well-equipped with kitchen facilities and lounge areas - and all benefit from the facilities at Longeveau including being able to hire lots of baby and toddler equipment. Three cottages each sleeping 2 people:
Le Chai: 1 bedroom, can be double or twin. Shower room; BBQ, sun loungers and outside dining in garden.
La Garconniere: 1 double mezzanine bedroom. 1 shower room. BBQ on terrace.
Le Poulailler: 1 double bedroom (can be twin) – and a cot can be squeezed in should you wish! Front terrace with sun loungers plus rear terrace leading to lovely communal garden.
One cottage sleeping 3 people:
La Petite Grange: 1 single room and 1 double room. Shower room. Private south-west facing garden with BBQ and sun loungers. Shared swimming pool with a few other properties. This property can actually fit 4 people in if you don’t mind a bit of a squeeze!
Ten cottages each sleeping 4 people:
L’Atelier: 1 double room and 1 twin bunk room; garden with sun loungers, outside dining and BBQ; shared swimming pool with a few other properties.
Le Pigeonnier: Converted tower – now a light and airy cottage. 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom. 1 bathroom. Garden with BBQ, sun loungers and outside dining.
L’Amandier: 1 double bedroom with ensuite. 1 twin bedroom. 1 separate shower room with W.C. Garden with BBQ, sun loungers and outside dining.
La Porcherie: 1 double, 1 twin, 1 shower room with W.C. Small terrace and garden at the front of the cottage.
L’Etable: 2 double rooms, one with ensuite, second one can be a twin. 1 separate shower room. Private terrace to side of property and a garden at the back.
La Grainerie: 1 double bedroom with ensuite, 1 twin bedroom, 1 shower room. Outdoor chairs and table at the front of the cottage for enjoying the sun. Private terrace at back which opens onto shared garden. Sun loungers, BBQ and outside dining options.
La Grangette: Set all on one floor, this is an accessible holiday property, good for wheelchair access. 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms: 1 is a double, and 1 is a twin (but can be made into a double). Peaceful courtyard with BBQ, outside dining and sun loungers. Shaded terrace. Shared swimming pool and shared garden with a few other properties.
L’Appartement: Upper floor apartment. 2 bedrooms: 1 double (master bedroom) and 1 twin. 1 shower room which is an ensuite for the master bedroom. Property has its own table and chairs outside in the courtyard.
Le Cerisier: 1 double bedroom with ensuite. 1 twin bedroom which could be made into a double. Separate shower room with W.C. Shared swimming pool with four other properties. Terrace with BBQ and outside dining.
Le Figuier: 1 ensuite double upstairs. 1 twin bedroom (can be double) on ground floor. 1 separate shower room. Covered terrace outdoors with BBQ and outside dining.

Le Potager: Situated 5-10 minutes’ walk up the hill from Longeveau. 1 double bedroom. 2 twin bedrooms. Private enclosed garden to the rear which gets the evening sun. Shared use of swimming pool with three other properties.
La Vielle Grange: 3 bedroom cottage. 1 double bedroom. 2 twin bedrooms (can be double). Two of these bedrooms have ensuites. Shared swimming pool with some other properties. Balcony. BBQ and sun loungers.
La Catalpa: Master bedroom with ensuite. 2 further bedrooms (can be doubles or twins) with ensuites. Own heated swimming pool 7m x 4m. Large garden with terrace and BBQ and outside dining.
Pressoir de Pierre: Situated 5-10 minutes’ walk up the hill from Longeveau. Shares heated swimming pool with neighbouring property L’Olivier. 3 ensuite bedrooms: 1 double, 2 twins (can be doubles). Garden with large terrace and BBQ.
L’Olivier: Situated 5-10 minutes’ walk up the hill from Longeveau. Shares heated swimming pool with neighbouring property Pressoir de Pierre. 3 bedrooms – 1 in separate part of the cottage with separate staircase. 2 shower rooms with W.C. Terrace with BBQ and dining space.
