About the owners

Wendy & Paul

“We have been offering family-friendly accommodation here since 1996 and with our years of experience, plus having brought up our own two children and being a registered childminder, we feel very confident in our ability to offer just what young families really need from a holiday. We have literally hundreds of great reviews from families over the years, so don't just take our word for it – read them and see what they have to say about us!”

Tips from the owners

Local things to do, places to eat and attractions not to be missed.

  • The lovely, relaxed city of La Rochelle is just over an hour’s drive away; head to the great aquarium there before a seafood lunch and a wander through the old streets.

  • There’s lots of play parks in the local area, including one next to the river in the local town, which also has a lake for pedalos and feeding the ducks.

  • The coast is an easy one hour drive away, but there’s a great swimming lake, complete with beach, just 30 minutes away.

  • Take to the water at St Savinien in a unique experience – electric boats that even a toddler can steer around a lake and mini canals.

  • Couple a trip to the beach with a visit to La Palmyre animal park, which is an amazing wildlife centre that’s been brilliantly laid out.
