Set on the Trewin family's 400 acre Northcott Farm in North Cornwall, these three luxury holiday cottages are located just 2 miles north of Bude. Sleeping 2 plus a cot in The Cabin, 8 in Little Northcott, or 17 in the gorgeous Farmhouse, each of the cottages boast stunning sea views and private hot tubs, plus their own private gardens. Kids will love meeting the resident animals and being able to walk (or run) to the beach. Cornish coastal holidays made easy.

There are three self-catering properties on-site, all with sea views and private hot tubs. The smallest, The Cabin, sleeps just two (though there’s room for a cot) in studio-style accommodation. Little Northcott has four bedrooms and three bathrooms – always handy for a family – and a garden with play equipment.

Much larger is Lower Northcott Farmhouse, which sleeps 17 in nine bedrooms. With two lounges, a heated cellar with a pool table, and a large garden with a play area and outside dining space, there’s ample room for entertaining a large group.

Eat

All of the properties are self catering with full kitchens, and its possible to arrange an online grocery delivery for supplies. A catering service can also be arranged if you don’t want to worry about cooking. The nearest pub is just half a mile away and serves meals daily. There’s loads of other great eating options in Bude, which is a short drive from the farm.

Activities

As this is a working farm one of the highlights of staying here is meeting all its many animals – from cows and pigs to ponies and goats. Each property has its own garden with plenty of space to keep kids amused, and being able to walk down to the beach is an undoubted highlight.

Guests can also make use of the facilities at its sister property, Court Farm, in nearby Marhamchurch. These include an indoor heated swimming pool, a games room and a tennis court. If you want to get out onto the water, boogie boards and wetsuits can be hired, or there’s plenty of surf schools in nearby Bude.

Owner recommendations

There are eight beaches nearby – grab a net or a bucket and go rock pooling and crabbing.
Don’t miss a swim in Bude Sea Pool, set in the rocks at Summerleaze Beach.
A half an hour drive will take you to the wonderful Tamar Otter and Wildlife Centre, where you can meet even more local animals.
In wet weather, The Venue in Bude is a great options, with ten-pin bowling and four floors of soft-play.
