The views from the tent pitches across the Aeron Valley are truly beautiful.
Children are welcome to meet and feed the farm animals.
There is space to explore and lots for the kids to do, including the pirate ship and play areas.

Top tips

You are only a short drive from the lovely beaches of Cardigan Bay - bring cossies, wet suits and body boards for a family day out.
Book the wood fired pizza oven and give yourself a night off cooking duty.
Bring some good footwear for walks around the farm.

There are two tent pitches, neither are connected to electricity so its you and good old-fashioned camping. The shower block and toilet facilities are just next to the pitches, so easy to get to. The views from anywhere are amazing.

Car parking is ample and you can park very close to the pitches so unpacking is straight forward. We have drinkable water facilities in the close by play barn.

Dogs are welcome - please mention when booking.

Eat

The farm shop on site sells organic eggs and organic meat, as well as milk and all the basics like pasta, bread, butter, crisps. Treberfedd has a license too, so you can buy local beers and a selection of wine. Gather up the ingrediants for making pizza bases if you want to try and make your own in the wood fired pizza oven. It is always worth packing your own special toppings.

Locally there are a number of lovely places to eat. The Harbour Master in Aberaeron and the The Y Talbot in Tregaron, a local market town or if you want to go and sit on the pier in Aberystwyth and have some lovely fish and chips, you can do that too.

Activities

There is so much to do here, you can stay on the farm and take lovely walks out or use the Play Barn for games and pizza, or the play park and the pirate ship.

Alternatively book yourself a beach day out - New Quay, a lovely sandy beach is around 15 mins away and is perfect for sand-castle building - in the summer you can book a trip to watch the dolphins too.

There are amazing walks in the area, for a family walk you can visit the local National Trust property at Llanerchaeron, or enjoy the coastal path or remember for those of you who are more adventurous you are a stones throw away from the Cambrian Mountains, where there are many old drovers walks.

Pop into the Farm Shop and ask for recommendations for local attractions - they'll give you lots of ideas suitable to your party.

Where is it and how do you get there?

By Road

Our address is Treberfedd Farm, Dihewyd, Lampeter SA48 7NW for SATNAV use. It is likely that your device will not bring you all the way to the farm as our postcode covers several properties. If your SATNAV tells you that you have reached your destination but you have not seen our entrance signs please keep driving on the single track lane until you see the orange sign 'Treberfedd Farm'. If you get lost and need directions please call us on 01570 470949 or 0797 0081432.

When you arrive:

Follow the signs down the farm drive, bear left at the fork and follow the drive down to your property.

Listed since November 2011

We found and fell in love with the farm in 1999. Since then our family has worked together to carefully restore the original thatched farmhouse and convert the traditional stone barns into our lovely holiday cottages. We aim to provide guests with a peaceful and memorable time.

Owner recommendations

Take the steam train from Aberystwyth up to Devil's Bridge to see the amazing waterfalls and have lunch at the Hafod Hotel.
At the northern end of Aberystwyth promenade, Constitution Hill rises dramatically from the sea, providing spectacular and uninterrupted views of the town, Cardigan Bay, and on a clear day 26 mountain peaks spanning much of the length of Wales.
The most relaxing way to enjoy this majestic panorama is to travel by train on the longest funicular electric cliff railway in Britain.
Visit the magic of Life Butterfly Centre, open from the end of march situated close to Aberystwyth.
