“We have lived on the farm at Balbinny for 35 years. With two sons working in London and Dublin, we decided to diversify into holiday accommodation and since then Balbinny has grown amazingly.”

  • See the ship that took Scott to Antarctica at Dundee’s Discovery Point.

  • While you’re in Dundee, pop into the new V&A – a world renowned attraction already!

  • Don’t miss the beautiful (usually deserted) beaches at Lunan Bay and St Cyrus.

  • The beach at Lunan Bay offers land yachting, beach kayaking, family days and much more (booking is required).

  • There are so many beautiful glens to explore in the local area: Clova, Isla, Esk, Lethnot, Prosen, to name a few.

  • Explore Glamis Castle - the childhood home of the Queen Mother. It’s described as “Scotland’s most beautiful castle” and is surrounded by extensive gardens.
