The five stone barns sleep from 2-6, and combined can accommodate a group of 22. They each marry character with practicality and retain many original features, timbers and stonework. All except The Granary are on one floor.

Inside you’ll find fully equipped kitchens with oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, and a dishwasher. A laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer is on-site. Linen and towels are provided. You’ll also have wifi, TVs and DVD players for family nights in. For extra comfort there are wood burners in Nuthatch, the Granary and the Smithy

Eat

There’s plenty of choice for places to eat and drink in the local area, from pub grub to fine dining, or if you don’t want to cook or go out, you can hire in a private chef, or have a sumptuous meal delivered to your cottage. All of the cottages are supplied with fresh, filtered natural spring water.

Activities

The heated indoor pool is always a winner whatever the weather. Open daily, with a shallow end and 7ft deep end, plus a range of toys and inflatables, everyone is welcome. The sauna and small gym facility is available in the pool building for adult use.

Outdoors the children will love to explore the 2 acres of grounds, and visit the (enclosed) pond area where they can spot chickens, ducks and moorhens. Swing, slide, balance and bounce on the outdoor play equipment and trampoline. Older children (adults too) will want to spend time in the games room playing table tennis, table football and pool. There is also a grassy area for outdoor games and a selection of indoor and outdoor games. Puzzles, preschool books and toys are also waiting for you to borrow.

Accessibility

Four of the cottages are single storey. The Granary is fitted with stair gates. The site itself has a sloping driveway and gravelled level parking areas, with gravel or concrete paths to the cottages.

We moved to Three Gates in July 2010 – the move was featured on the popular BBC programme 'Escape to the Country'. Seemingly it’s worked out and you can have the benefit of our desire to provide a relaxed rural retreat for families.
