Tips from the owners

Local things to do, places to eat and attractions not to be missed.

  • Book at table at Crabby Jacks, a family-friendly restaurant opposite the beach, with a great playground, fun atmosphere and wide-ranging menu.

  • Sausmerez Park with a large duck pond, pergola, playground, café and wide pathways perfect for scootering is a great afternoon out.

  • Take in the Fairy Ring – a scenic walk that will take you to where fairies dancing through the night have created a circular ditch, lined with upright stones.

  • Try your hand at coasteering – an activity for the more adventurous. A guide will take you swimming through caverns and jumping off cliffs.

  • Spend the day at Portelet Bay. A fantastic beach with rock pools for crabbing, a sea wall for jumping off, an enclosed area for children to swim, charming fishing boats and a kiosk.

  • Take a trip to Herm. A beautiful island only 20 minutes away by boat, but totally otherworldly.
