Day One Hanoi City Hotel in Hanoi City Arrive at NoiBai International airport – Hanoi City, where you will be greeted by an English speaking guide and taken to your hotel for check in. You’ll be staying overnight in Hanoi and have the day at your leisure to explore the city.
Day Two Hanoi City Hotel in Hanoi City This is a day to get to know the best of Hanoi with a full day city tour. In the morning you will visit the Mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts, One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will see the impressive Museum of Ethnology, the beautiful West Lake, Tran Vu Pagoda, the peaceful lake of the Restored Sword and Ngoc Son temple. You will also go for an hour’s cycle ride through the bustling Old Quarter streets of Hanoi. You will stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day Three Halong Bay Traditional Vietnamese boat After breakfast at the hotel, you will head to Halong Bay which covers 577 square miles filled with more than 3,000 limestone “peaks” or karsts that jut from the deep blue water as far as the eye can see. You will explore the mesmerising seascape from the decks of a traditional Vietnamese boat for a day and a half, including an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast onboard.
Day Four Halong Bay Hotel in Hanoi City After breakfast, you will venture to Sung Sot cave, go swimming and relax, while brunch is served as cruising through the bay. Enjoy the view as your cruise comes to an end. Travel back to Hanoi for 4pm for hotel check in and a free evening to go sightseeing.
Day Five Da Nang and Hoi An Hotel in Hoi An Catch a morning flight to Da Nang city in Vietnam’s Central Region where you will visit the Cham Museum, which features a fine collection of open air sandstone carvings. Stop off at My Khe Beach, surrounded by the Marble Mountains area. Each of the five stone hillocks you will see here are said to represent one of the five elements of the universe. There are also many natural caves where Buddhist sanctuaries have been built over the centuries. Later, transfer to Hoi An Ancient Town and stay overnight in a hotel.
Day Six Hoi An Hotel in Hoi An Today you will have a full-day excursion to Hoi An, a major trading centre and an important port for the Dutch, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and other merchant vessels from the Far East. You’ll start your tour with a temple visit, followed by a pagoda, Sa Huynh Museum and in the late afternoon, a boat trip on the Thu Bon River to Kim Bing Village on Cam Kim Island. You will spend the evening at the world-famous Cua Dai Beach and stay overnight in Hoi An.
Day Seven Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City After breakfast, hop on a flight from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon. In the afternoon, your tour of the city will take you to Reunification Hall, the Old Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Jade Emperor Pagoda, Chinatown and Binh Tay Market – one of the liveliest areas of the city. You will stay overnight at a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day Eight Ho Chi Minh City Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City Today you will visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an immense network of connecting underground tunnels dating back to the 1960s for use during the war against America. You will have the evening to yourself and stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day Nine My Tho and Mekong Delta Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City You will start the day at My Tho, the capital of Tien Giang Province on the Mekong River. The city is surrounded by orchards and rice fields, which produce grain for the entire country. You will also visit one or two of the islands producing traditional handicrafts, coconut candy and bee farms before going to the Vinh Trang Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in the delta on an amazing boat trip on the Mekong River. You’ll finish your day back in Ho Chi Minh City where you will stay the night.
