What we think

"La Cuccagna is a serene place - with far-sweeping views, gorgeously decorated, simply tasteful rooms, excellent food and fabulously friendly hosts you are sure to recharge after a stay here - grab a couple of books, position yourself by the pool while the kids play either in the pool, or in the grounds, and enjoy being there."

Tips from the owners

Local things to do, places to eat and attractions not to be missed.

  • Perugia, the capital of Umbria, has art museums, markets, the world famous Jazz festival in July and is home to Europe’s biggest chocolate festival in October.

  • Lake Trasimeno offers the perfect spot to relax - take a stroll along its shores, catch a little ferry to one of the islands, or enjoy some of the watersports.

  • Mamore Waterfalls are the tallest (man-made) waterfalls in Europe and is a great place for white water rafting, canoeing, tubing and other watersport activities.

  • A wine tasting trip to one of the local organic and biodynamic family run vineyards should be on every guests list of things to do.

  • Visit Gubbio, one of the oldest cities in all Italy and just 25 mins away.
