  • Blackpool is only 30 minutes away, with loads of attractions including the Pleasure Beach, Blackpool Tower, Sealife Aquarium, Zoo and the Sandcastle Waterpark.

  • Cobble Hey is a working farm with gardens situated in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a great day out for children, walkers and birdwatchers.

  • Ribble Valley Sculpture Trail runs through Brungerley Park and Cross Hill Quarry, providing a lovely walk along the River Ribble.

  • See and feed the wildlife including deer, llama and goats at Bowland Wild Boar Park.

  • Head to Lancaster Castle and investigate the trial of the Lancashire witches.
