The Rice family

Stowford Farm Meadows was established in 1978 and forty years on its emphasis is still on quality and customer satisfaction. Stowford remains the same family owned touring caravan and camping site...although we might have grown a bit.

Tips from the owners

Local things to do, places to eat and attractions not to be missed.

  • Beautiful Woolacombe Beach, named by TripAdvisor as the best beach in the UK for two years running, is only ten minutes’ drive away.

  • The delightful seaside town of Ilfracombe is well worth exploring, with lots to offer including an active harbour, beach, cinema and a theatre.

  • The wild and rugged beauty of Exmoor National Park is within easy reach of Stowford, offering sea cliffs, rolling hills and ancient forests.

  • If it’s man-made excitement you’re after, head to Watermouth Castle; just a ten-minute drive from the campsite, this theme park is great fun for all the family.

  • Dinosaur-mad kids won’t want to miss Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, which also has lots of real-life animals to see.
