Tips from the owners

Local things to do, places to eat and attractions not to be missed.

  • Take a trip to the Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth. It’s free to get in and provides half a day’s great entertainment.

  • Visit one of the National Trust properties nearby - Killerton House and Knightshayes being the closest.

  • Visit one of the many cafes which are dotted around and indulge in a Devonshire cream tea. My favourite is Otter Valley Dairy, near Honiton or The Strand Stores, Culmstock. Both have high chairs and accommodate children.

  • If you are holidaying with a young family, Crealy Adventure Park is the South West's favourite family attraction with slides, rides and huge all weather play areas. My kids love Crealy.

  • Don’t miss out on a beach trip! Exmouth for Sidmouth are our favorites and when you arrive we can give you more information about these towns.
