About this place

Best bits

  • The garden is gorgeous. On sunny days, find a quiet spot and gaze out over the bay to the mountains beyond.
  • Stunning location. You have your own private access to the shore from the garden, so why not borrow a pair of wellies and take a walk around the island, go for a swim from the beach or check out the rockpools for crabs.
  • Perfect for a cosy night in – a sing-song around the piano or simply sit back and be entertained by the musicians amongst you.

Top tips

  • Your four legged friends can join the adventure; up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
  • A starter pack of logs and kindling is supplied so you can set up a cosy fire as soon as you arrive.
  • Explore the area at both high and low tide. There’s so much nature to see that changes with every season and time of day.

About the owners

Fiona & David

Listed since April 2021

We are Fiona and David and English pointer Ben and have lived on the magical Isle of Skye for over ten years. We want our guests to come somewhere comfortable and memorable and always focus on small touches and details to make guests feel at home. In our spare time we canoe, bike or hike and explore every coffee shop we can find so we can give lots of tips on where to go, not just on Skye but further afield.

Owner recommendations

  • Skye’s Jurassic coast boasts world-beating scenery. From the jaw-dropping views of the Trotternish Ridge, the Storr and Quirang head down to the coast to seek out the dinosaur footprints at Staffin – they’re all worth checking out!

  • Take a wildlife tour – there’s otters, seals, dolphins and whales or look up to spot soaring golden eagles and their larger cousins the sea eagle.

  • Whether you are a competent mountaineer, an adventurous hillwalker or whether you simply prefer a gentle stroll, you will find scenery to amaze you at every turn. There are many expert climbing guides to choose from if you’d like a helping hand.

  • Try some incredible seafood. You’ll be spoilt for choice on Skye. Choose from fresh shellfish, hand-dived scallops, rope grown oysters and lobsters and langoustines straight off the boats.
