The Away with the Kids review
We know time spent together on a family holiday is very precious and we all want to find the holy grail of a stress free relaxing break suitable for everyone so Away with the Kids were delighted when we stumbled upon West Woolley Farm. We think it is a rather special place and we hope you agree a holiday here would be a win win. It is an easy-going, secluded place with six beautifully converted holiday cottages that provide a cosy 'home from home' whatever the season. This former dairy farm, nestled amongst the North Cornish countryside and near to the borders of Cornwall and Devon, has a superb location to boast about, just a few miles from sandy beaches and the South West coastal path; it really is a place to take your breath away. At West Woolley Farm you're made very to feel very welcome by the owners Helen and John Keeble. They’re always on hand to help or provide suggestions about where to go and what to see. It is evident that much thought has been put into how to help families have a relaxing and fun time and their passion for this place really shines through.
The Holiday Cottages
Six characterful and cosy holiday cottages can accommodate up to 27 people, offering enough room for even the largest family and private space for when you need some down-time. With original slate roofs, exposed stone walls, beamed ceilings and wooden floors, these award winning barn conversions are the ideal place to unwind and relax. Each property is comfortably furnished with a mixture of antique and modern furniture and is well equipped for a relaxing stay. The original farm cottages are set around the main courtyard with Shepherds, a newly built cottage for two, is set apart from the main courtyard. This cosy bolthole is perfect for grandparents that may want to join you on holiday but would appreciate their own space.
Fun on the Farm
Children will be entertined in the playbarn equipped with a low level cllimbing wall and plenty off space for youngsters to burn off energy under cover. Here you can kick a football around, practice your crickets skills, shoot hoops in the basketball net or play table tennis. There are ride-ons for toddlers and it's the perfect place to meet newly made holiday chums to discuss the best places visited. The daily 8.30 a.m. farm run is a magnet for children who have a passion for animals where they can learn lots of interesting facts from Farmer John while getting up close to the resident farm animals. Help feed the sheep and pigs, learn to herd the ducks and chickens, play with the amusing pygmy goats. You may get the chance to collect freshly laid eggs which are scrumptious for your breakfast.
