About the owners

Listed since May 2019

My husbands family have lived and farmed at Cargurra for 5 generations. I moved here when we married in 2015 and since then we have had 2 children of our own so know how much planning a family holiday can take. The cottages are a fantastic place to stay with the family, well away from a public road you feel very safe and the green space gives children the chance to run free and enjoy being children.

Tips from the owners

Local things to do, places to eat and attractions not to be missed.

  • Enjoy the stunning beach and dramatic views of the ocean, and immerse yourself in Arthurian legend at Tintagel Castle - book ahead to avoid queues.

  • The 18 mile Camel Trail is largely traffic free with a virtually level trail that’s great for bikes, which can be hired at various points along the way.

  • Daymer Bay is ideal for families with younger children and offers some stunning walks to those with older ones.

  • Eden Project is a great day out for all the family and is less than an hour away.

  • Boscastle Harbour is a must see. Go as the tide comes in and see the blow hole.

  • Bude is well worth a visit for the beach, outdoor sea pool, cvrazy golf, and boat hire.

  • Tamar Otter Park has Otters, Birds or Prey, deer and Wallabies which are tame enough to feed!

  • Crackington Beach is small, clean with lifeguards. The toilets, parking and café are all within 50m of the beach.
