Owner recommendations

  • Markeaton Park is Derby’s most visited park and is one of the most popular attractions in the East Midlands. It offers a place to escape from day to day living and city life and experience a little bit of countryside on Derby’s doorstep.

  • Wild Park Derbyshire is a family run outdoor activity centre for paintballing, laser tag, quad biking, trekking and archery. Book ahead to avoid disappointment!

  • If you enjoy food and cooking why not spend a day with Seasoned Cookery School who offer courses in everything from ‘Best of British’ to ‘Indian Entertaining’. For groups, the school will also come to the cottages, so you can make the most of your stay whilst learning how to make delicious canapes or chocolates.

  • Carsington Water has everything you need for a great day out – and best of all most facilities are free!
